So the KOF13 press conference has come and gone! Lots of new info and lots of new character reveals today, so here’s a quick summary of what … uh, I have time to write, because I was too busy playing Virtua Fighter tonight!

※ KOF13 will be at Super Battle Opera this year, as a category C title. The official website mentions that it will be a festival style game, but I have no idea what that means other than it’ll be similar in structure to the category B games, which are also considered festival style titles.

※ There are a total of 31 characters, although not everyone is known yet. The roster so far is:
Ash
Kyo – Beni – Goro
Terry – Andy – Joe
Liz – Duo – Shen
Kim – Rayden – ??? (Billy or Hwa-Jai?)
King – Mai – Yuri
??? – ??? – ??? (Ran – Chat – Sai?)
Ryo – Robert – ??? (Takuma?)
Iori – Mature – ??? (Vice?)
Athena – Kensou – Chin
Ralf – Clark – Leona

※ EX Specials and EX SDMs are in the game, which change the properties of those moves similar to what happens in SF3 and SF4.

※ New to the game is the Hyperdrive Mode, which works similar to 2002’s MAX Mode. When the drive meter is at MAX, you can go into the Hyper Drive mode which lets you do infinite drive cancels for a limited time. What’s a Drive Cancel? Well it’s a technique that allows players to cancel a special or super into another one.

Ahora... : (

Más:

i will sum all important things mentioned in the last blog:

1 - yuzuko asked yamaguchi "there is an unseen before character in the opening right? that silky long haired charcter , that was ash right? his hair got grown? "

yamaguchi "who knows? his nail and stuff is carefully trimmed too huh? you will know about it later".

2 - there is a mid-game demo, and will be shown in the next loketest which there will be a cabin for playing against the CPU only, and story characters will have special entries with each other (text messages, like it was in SvC).

3 - this time when you play single there will be some tasks you have to do in the game (like land an EX special on your opponent) and if you clear it all something good will occur (no idea what).

4 - additional moves (mentioned in a previous post but with few adds)

ralf: special move (gatling attack), DM (horse ride vulcan punch)

yuri: special move (yuri chou~ appaa~~).

king: her lean over(cross??) D is a special command move.

mai: special move (charged musasabi no mai).

ash: got back his (Sans cullote) mode back (no need to charge to pull special moves and can cancel moves) costs 2 bars, DM (Germinal)

shen: SSJ mode back (attack power increases) costs 2 bars.

andy: DM (zetsu - hishouken) a projectile DM?

chin: special move (gets drunk and then his attack power increases and his defense power decreases).

5 - the efficiency or performance of the EX specials changed (no explanation in here) .

6 - hyper drive mode got adjusted (some characters color variation got changed).

7 - enhanced graphics.

8 - gimmicks added to every stage and differs from a stage to another.

Por cierto lo del filtro de reescalado al que te refieres con lo de "pasado por la lavadora" ¿no se podía desactivar?
Me parece raro porque hasta ahora casi todas las versiones domésticas de SNK daban esa opción.

Anoop Gantayat wrote:In less than a month, you'll be able to walk into your local game center and play King of Fighters XIII (this assumes you live in Japan). SNK Playmore has set the final release date of July 14 for the arcade fighter.

KOFXIII follows the storyline of KOF2003 and KOFXI and features new systems like the Hyper Drive Mode and EX Desperation Moves. Modes of play for solo players include a training mode where you can learn your commands and combos, and a story mode where you attempt to perform specific actions given to you at the start of a round.

Coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, holiday 2011.

There is a mention to Kinect down there... maybe it'll just feature voice-controlled menus and nothing else?

KOFXIII Steam Edition.jpg

http://shoryuken.com/2013/08/12/king-of ... d-netcode/

After the trailer for King of Fighters XIII Steam Edition appeared on the gaming platform last week, many assumed it would only be a matter of time until the title was officially announced. A proper entry for the game was recently added to Steam, allowing fans to pre-order the title at a discount before its release on September 13. The page also includes a full rundown of Steam Edition’s features (which most notably mentions vastly improved netcode [sic]) and a number of screenshots, which we’ve included below.

Previous downloadable characters Iori with the Power of Flames (EX Iori), NESTS Style Kyo (EX Kyo), and Mr. Karate will also playable from the start with no further purchase necessary.

SNK Playmore is also looking to hold a closed beta for the title, the participants of which will be chosen randomly from a pool of applicants. If you’re interested in taking part, be sure to visit their official application page. Registration will be open until August 18, winners will be notified the following day, and the closed beta will last from August 20 to August 29. Only 300 testers will be allowed entry, so good luck!
