Far Cry 2 is getting a remaster as part of a retail compilation, which differs in content and platform availability between Europe and the US.

Dubbed Far Cry Classic, this $10 digital release will feature not only enhanced visuals but also revamped cutscenes and a vastly improved UI. The game will be available on PSN and XBLA on February 11.

European gamers can also pick up this title but as part of the Far Cry: Wild Expedition Bundle for either the 360 or PS3, which will hit retailers in the region on the 14th.

This bundle includes Far Cry Classic, a HD remastering of Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. A similar bundle will also be available to fans in North America on the 11th but it will be exclusive to the PS3 and it will not include Far Cry Classic.

How is Far Cry 2 getting a "remaster"? It's a current-gen game that's already in HD. Not to speak of "remasters" of FC3 and Blood Dragon lol. That blog post is daft.
