[DS] Blue Dragon Plus

No idea if this is a port (lol) or a new game, but in any case it's coming out sometime in March by AQ Interactive.

Feelplus is listed as the developer (no mention of Artoon), and no specific staff members are mentioned except Sakaguchi as producer, but the press release does confirm it will be in the same universe as the 360 version, so it won't be based on the horrible anime.

Note that both this and Away will be 5,980 yen, so either they're ASH-sized carts or Mistwalker has deemed that their titles can command a premium these days.

Turns out it will be called Blue Dragon Plus (a rather dumb name for anything other than an enhanced port, if you ask me) and will be a real-time SRPG. Kinda like Heroes of Mana and Revenant Wings then, but perhaps not as crappy.



Sprites look excellent at least, though I can't tell much about the backgrounds.

Well, I thought the original Blue Dragon was testament to the fact that Mistwalker is a competent developer. I'm setting my hopes high for this.

Did Blue Dragon have an awesome soundtrack? I'm thinking of picking it up.

I liked it. It really boils down to whether or not you can enjoy the song in this video since you'll hear it a lot. It had to grow on me, but I was able to rock out to it after a while. The other songs are more video gamey though, and in my opinion they were really good.
