Left-handed FPS play

Unread postby Banjooie » 22 Mar 2009 07:06

Just out of curiosity, of you guys who are really, really good at FPSes.

How many of you are left-handed? And, if so, do you use a mouse on the left hand side of your keyboard, or have you just adapted to using a mouse on the right side?

I'm not saying this is a primary reason I suck, I'm just curious how many left-handers there are at higher levels of play.

I'd say it's probably like football. Most use their natural leg to kick the ball but you'd see some exceptions where people use the other one, or are equally good on both feet.

You'll also see skateboarders who have gotten so accustomed to riding 'funky' or leading with wrong leg that they're more proficient in this style than they are skating in the natural fashion.

My guess is those who've developed ambidextrous mouse skills have clocked up an inordinate amount of time browsing internet porn.

Aren't there left-handed mice and keyboards? I am sure there must be. If so, there's no issue here.

Well, that's sort of what I'm asking. IS that what high-end lefties are doing?

I am left-handed and I have used right handed mice for all my life.

The keyboard hand is more important in FPS. All the "aim" in the world can't help you if you are not able to move profoundly so it kinda helps to have the "better" hand on the keyboard.
Life would be worthless without music.
