It will use the CryEngine 3, which is discussed here: http://forum.insomnia.ac/viewtopic.php?t=2732

Still haven't played the first one, but will soon.

Nice trailer, but wtf is up with all the tearing? Is it too much to ask for when you are making a fucking trailer to use something better than your old fucking laptop? Can't EA afford a decent PC these days, FOR THEIR FUCKING TRAILERS? I mean what the fuck is the point.

Aaaaaanyway. When I first head "New York" I thought there'd be something more interesting than "post-apocalyptic New York full of aliens". But I guess "post-apocalyptic" is easier to design and render than "pre-apocalyptic", so they went with post.

Meh.

Several minutes of uncut in-game footage from E3, showing two different areas:

There's also this interview, with a quote that would be a nice pick for the Xboxification thread:

Kinda funny (and sad) to see it put so bluntly. Crytek also keeps using the phrase "choreographed sandbox," which seems to mean "smaller, enclosed, arena-like levels with scripted events." Judging from the videos, there's still plenty of room to move around and lots of stuff to interact with, and most of the freedom offered in Crysis was meaningless complexity anyway. But, the huge maps in Far Cry and Crysis did set them apart from most FPS games, and I was hoping Crytek would push the size and scale even further. Oh well. The game looks awesome regardless.

Most of the images here have already been posted by watatatow in this thread, but you can see a few additional multiplayer shots, a couple overhead views of multiplayer levels, and some concept art.

In fact, some even arrogantly bragged about this with implications of "this game cannot be done on consoles!!!". Of course, Crysis 2 is right around the corner along with a nice plate of crow.

And it still isn't done on consoles as Crysis 2 isn't as first Crysis in scope and interactivity. Crysis CE3 techdemo clearly shows Crysis assimilation is not possible on consoles even in a butchered lower settings mode with an unacceptable framerate, memory limiations and/or trying to push visual tech too much on the consoles but it ran like ass and looked weak vs Crysis on PC.

The line "cannot be done on consoles" clearly goes for the tech and visuals of higher settings as a A64 3200+, a 6800GT and 1GB RAM could play game fine at low-medium. Such a system from 2004. Crysis 2 is now coming for consoles and it still stands clear its tech and visuals are a far cry from Crysis at higher settings... and still it is barely playable on consoles. It's pretty clear who will "eat crow"!

Xbox 360 multiplayer screenshots:

These screenshots are 1920x1080, even though the game is supposed to be rendered at 720p on consoles. Lol.

inCrysis has some new multiplayer videos on that page, but this older GameTrailers video is better (it's longer and not chopped up into short segments):

The jumping and sliding look pretty cool, and the ability to pull yourself up on ledges should make climbing around a lot smoother than it was in Crysis.

More in-game footage from the 360 version:

One thing I noticed right away is how the suit's energy drains more slowly than in Crysis and recovers much more quickly, but maybe it's dependent on the difficulty setting. Also interesting is how the HUD shows stats (accuracy, damage, etc.) for weapons when you select them.

Of course, now that a PC build of the game has been leaked, you can find videos of it all over YouTube, but I'm trying not to spoil the game for myself too much.
