It'll be developed by 343 Industries instead of Bungie. It's slated to be released on holiday 2012.

I'd like to see a Halo done by Crytek. I don't have much experience with games by these 343 dudes, and therefore have no faith in them. Then again, I haven't had faith in Bungie either for almost a decade now.

Making Halo 4: Return of the Forerunners

I like this new race they are creating. The Covenant has always been ugly and silly, with only one or two exceptions. And silly enemies in a game that tries to be epic is silly.

I've only played the first game and part of the second, but nothing I've seen of the rest has so far made me forget 2 and give the series another go. Passing on the series to a new developer may well be a blessing for it, way I see it, since Bungie has been doing such a shitty job with it.

Problem is, I can't play 4 without first going through all the rest. And that might end up a stumbling block too big to overcome. I could very well end up never playing this game, no matter how good it might end up being. Except if someone volunteers to co-op with me the entire series from 2 onward (you can play 2 on 360 in online co-op, right?) I might then be able to muster up the enthusiasm to slog all my way to 4.

Halo 2 has no co-op support outside of split screen, unfortunately. The PC version doesn't support it, either.

Suxxorz. At least I've already played about a quarter of the campaign split-screen back in the day, so I'll just rush through the rest on my own and start co-oping again with 3.

Surprised there's not some kind of hack for the PC version though. Then again it's such a shitty game I can see why no one would bother.

This video has a lot of useful impressions of the game's multiplayer mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdrN8m9o5mI
