Officially in beta. You can request an invite here. You can also buy early access, through once officially released the game will be free-to-play. I think I only waited a week or so for my invite, and the game is basically in a post-release state, and probably has been since the beta began (evidence: the public debut of the game was an international tournament with a grand prize of a million dollars, lol). It is worth playing now, if you are interested, is what I am saying. The invitation-only beta thing is a marketing gimmick.
