Just got my copy of DDP: DOJ after a lengthy and anxious wait. I learned of its apparent goodness via side notes in the Ketsui review up here. I've always enjoyed DP and DDP (have them on Saturn), but never dove into DOJ.
that's about to change real quick :)

Anyone else care to share their experience with the game?

I'll be posting a short snippet of my own impression after I rock on it all weekend.

Pain, just pain. It is cruelly difficult for anyone experienced in STGs, and impossible for the non-experienced. The port is flawless and overall the game rocks the world if you can withstand the wall of bullets. By the way where did you find the game? Is it some kind of rerelease?

sitting pretty and ready for snatching from play-asia.com.

and, i think i'm in love with the game. i'm going to be spending even more time with it this weekend (after tons last weekend, and a good number of plays before hitting the sack in the eves this past week).
i went in having no clue what to expect - save some vague commentary about its quality and scoring system. i must say i never expected to be so pulled in.
i dig the mess out of how the game invites you to increase your potential for scoring big, while counter balancing that with the fact that it challenges you more and more if you accept that invitation (via the hyper mode mechanics).
