Untold Tales of The Arcade: Taito Think Tank

Another wonderful article. I enjoy the social aspect. There was a girl at my arcade who was very good at Bomb Jack and Wonder Boy who I quite admired. There's something very attractive about chicks who can clock an arcade machine!

These articles make me sad though. It's depressing that the social aspect of games has gone out the window in recent years. LAN cafes aren't the same. Everybody wears headphones and looks into separate screens. People rarely spectate or spark up conversations with other players.

What happened to the uncle's arcade in the end? Perhaps that's a subject for a later article?

I know this a no-substance praise post, but whatever. I loved this. I love trying to picture his uncle's arcade, I love the talk about the Raimais girl, I love seeing Taito get heaps of praise, and I love being introduced to new games.

I think I talked about my uncle arcade's fate at some point, so I'll avoid spoilers for the moment being. Thanks for the heads up of course, it's nice to see some more appreciation about my earlier rants...

Hello everyone.

Recently Taito released a sequel to a classic side scroller action Kage No Densetsu for DS. I didn't play the first game though but I thought this sequel is neat as an action game. I grew up playing Shinobi III and Strider so hopefully my opinion is pretty valid since those 2 games are epic. This one is awesome as well with huge vertical elements and an extensive moveset. The challenge is moderate but it comes from the enemy grunts being precise compared to bosses which so far have a pattern which is easy to figure out but deal huge damage on hit to make up for it. Overall it's pretty neat. The touch screen isn't there aside for dragging your orbs around some skill setup screen thats it.

I wish I can say more but I haven't actually completed the game but so far this is a solid action title which can appeal to fans of those ninja sidescrollers back then.
