Star Citizen Wiki wrote:The Anvil C8 Pisces is a snub scout ship that comes with the Carrack. It is able to be launched from the hangar bay of the Carrack.

The ship was originally sold with the Carrack, and is currently not available standalone. The ship is meant for scouting, reconnaissance and exploring environments inaccessible to the Carrack. Apart from the pilot seat, it also features two additional jump seats for extra passengers. It also contains space for 4 SCU of cargo. Additionally, while it doesn't come equipped with one standard, the ship can also be equipped with a Jump Module.

Up till now there were two variants. Neither can be bought in shops, they come with the corresponding Carrack variants. But today a new medical variant was released, the C8R, and that should be available in dealerships eventually, though for now you need to pay €60.60 for it: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm ... The C8 series of snub explorers and support craft is legendary in military and civilian circles; not only as the trusty companions to Carrack pathfinders but as powerful, capable ships in their own right.

C8s are regularly utilized in tight, difficult extractions, leading to the development of this newest member of the Pisces family, the rescue and recovery-focused C8R.

That is a gorgeous page with stunning videos etc. btw. Dedicated vehicle pages are always worth checking out. Very weird though that it doesn't mention this:

SovietSalsa wrote:When the redeemer was released you could but the next patch they locked the cabinet because when the items were taken out or something else was placed in there it would freak out and blow up the ship.

The5starz wrote:They fixed this in 3.17.4

You can open the redeemer fridge again

YacketyYacker wrote:Hopefully they'll make these things snap/grav-lock soon. If it acts the same was as the Redeemer's fridge, everything gets jumbled as soon as the ship moves and becomes a mess. That then causes secondary issues like constant physics collisions and damage to the ship.

Blueshift1561 wrote:Nope, it doesn't jumble, they stay exactly in place without issue.

Of course all the items from all three showroom shops have been klepped. And I laughed into my mic

Third-worlders still exist in 2952 confirmed. (I would have stolen everything too.)

I have no idea how they manage to land these things with such precision. Or how they take the pics for that matter.

On the subject of paints, there are a couple more than are shown in these pics, specifically a couple black/camo ones, but I think those are generic C8 paints, I am not sure if they can be applied to the C8R. It does look like all of them can be applied to any variant though. Not sure how that works.

In any cases for the R specifically, I prefer the stock red paint. It's a medical ship and it should look like one. The Concierge-exclusive blue looks cool, but it doesn't look medical even though it has medical crosses.

I would have bought an R today, but then I saw recoil had bought one, so I am thinking about it now. Either way I am certainly buying something today.

The R will be a game-changer when we play Jumptown again, and generally it sounds good for bunker missions and of course rescue beacons and a ton of other scenarios coming up in the future. Would be cool if we could fly it in Siege of Orison, but the Nine Tails have "inverted the no-fly zone permissions around Inspiration Park, meaning only their own ships can gain access". The whole point of the mission is to shut that down, iirc.

The C8R Responder paint is a perfect match for the Carrack expedition

Though I said I prefer the red C8R, for this particular Carrack I'd go with the white/red one.
