The latest issue of Japanese Famitsu magazine has information on Arcana Heart 3, which will be coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Is this what they have been counting down to? Seems likely.
The following features have been reported by Andriasang:
New features for the home include HD anime cut-ins during supers, and a "simple mode" that will let beginner players perform combos through a single button press.
Modes of play include Story Mode with full voice, Versus (for offline play), Score Attack, Training, Network (for online battles. It also seems to have full lobbies with spectator ability like Super Street Fighter 4) and Gallery for viewing unlocked movies and illustrations.

Arcana Heart 3 is coming to North America!
Torrance, CA (Februrary 14th, 2010) – Aksys Games, a publisher of interactive entertainment products, is proud to announce that the fighting game Arcana Heart 3 will be coming to the PlayStation®Network this Spring. Arcana Heart 3 combines fast-paced aerial action with a unique cast for an extraordinary fighting experience never before seen in North America!
Chaos and disorder are threatening to rip apart the very fabric of Japanese society as planar rifts appear throughout the country. It is suspected that the Drexler Institute, the instigator of the Great War many years ago and creator of the Divine Celestial Weapon, is somehow involved.
In the midst of this confusion, a mysterious rumor arises, claiming the existence of wish-granting “Celestial Stones” within the chaotic planar rifts. As a result of these rumors, a number of individuals have converged on Japan in the hopes of obtaining one of these fabled stones – either to seal them away or to see for themselves if the rumor is true. Each person has their own reasons for seeking these rare and valuable stones, and they won’t let anyone stand in their way, be they foe…or friend.
Arcana Heart 3 Key Features
* 3 Newcomers To Arcana Heart 3, For A Total Of 23 Fighters!

* 23 Unique Arcana Types; Create A Fighting Style To Match Your Individual Style Of Play!
Pair your favorite character with one of the 23 available spirits for an incredible range of different fighting styles.
* Deep Single Player Experience!
With an extensive arcade-style story mode, score attack mode, and training mode available, Arcana Heart 3 offers players a myriad of ways to sharpen and polish their fighting skills when not facing off against friends and rivals.
* Introducing “Simple Mode”!
Simple mode is a new control scheme designed with beginning and casual fighting fans in mind. Unleash powerful attacks and extended combos without having to practice complicated input commands!
* Full-Featured Online Multiplayer!
Arcana Heart 3′s online system was developed by Arc System Works, creators of the critically-acclaimed BlazBlue games, a series known for its superior network code. In addition to online lobbies and ranked matches, Arcana Heart 3 also includes a comprehensive ranking system and online replays.

Examu has announced its intent to launch a Kickstarter to bring Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars to the PC with an English localization. While an exact launch date for the crowdfunding effort has yet to be announced, a Prefundia page has opened going over the updated version of Arcana Heart 3 and what Examu hopes to accomplish.
Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars originally appeared in Japanese arcades on December 4, 2014. Set after Arcana Heart 2’s Kantou Incident, players follow a group of young women taking part in major battles while dimensional rifts begin opening around and threaten to destroy Japan. It has 24 playable characters and 24 Arcana. Of those, two are new to this installment. Minori Amanohara is the new heroine and Ichor the new Arcana. This update also rebalances existing characters.
Examu also hinted at some possible additions that could come to Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Six Stars if enough funding is procured. The Prefundia page notes that more new characters could be created and storylines included.

The series is one that has innovated so many crazy ideas and to date its the only title that I've seen that gives you THIS LEVEL of customization to the roster. There have been "add a move" here and there or "pick a comeback mechanic" things before...but this series lets you add an entire moveset worth of specials, supers, ultras, xfactor abilities, passive abilities and other stuff to any character all while being packaged in a unique homing dash cancel, and clash attack filled furious environment.
Back the game. Waifu aesthetics be damned it is an insanely good fighting game series with some of the best gameplay around.

You can now pre-order Arcana Heart 3 Love Max Six Stars!!!!!! for Steam through BackerKit:
(This is a PC port of a 2D fighting game that was recently succesfully kickstarted, it was exclusive to Japanese arcades before)
https://arcana-heart-3-love-max-six-sta ... _preorders
This gets you a Steam version including the DLC stretch goals, the DLC won't be free after release.
They also revised the stretch goals for BackerKit so maybe another character can get in:
