Thanks a lot for putting up these translated Postback articles. I've had a lot of respect for Recap since I joined this forum. I've been flipping through Postback sporadically for the past year now, but since I can only barely understand Spanish it's taken me loads of effort to get anything out of it. It's really awesome to finally be able to read this stuff!

Muchos quizás habréis leído ya que Postback se está reformando íntegramente. Tanto, que la próxima edición--cuando quiera que suceda, que no será pronto--será, un poco, un nuevo comenzar. De manera que era justo hacer que el carpetazo fuera algo más perceptible. El cambio del frontal trae consigo un buen puñado de arreglos, intentando que, ahora sí, todo el contenido del Sitio tenga una forma definitiva. Muchos textos se han retocado y muchas páginas han corregido sus desperfectos visuales, que afectaban todavía, particularmente, a los usuarios de navegadores distintos a Internet Explorer. Firefox se convierte así en el navegador aconsejado para visualizar el Sitio.

De paso, los Listados también han sido actualizados y corregidos, y quiero aprovechar para significar de nuevo la importancia de esta sección, que, más allá de su interés como base de datos, supone una minuciosa selección (personal) de la totalidad de las obras de los sistemas correspondientes que tienen algún valor cualitativo. No es algo frecuente de encontrar--quizás porque no haya muchos que se atrevan...--y adelanto que será--también--el motor del nuevo Espacio. La página de Enlaces igualmente se ha actualizado.

Probablemente aún haya fallos técnicos o incluso frases susceptibles de ser reescritas, pero aquí se cierra el episodio. Salvo el frontal, Postback se quedará para los anales tal cual hoy la vemos, y cualquier actualización será ya parte del contenido de Postback 2.0. No descarto hacerlo desaparecer, en realidad, una vez su contenido haya sido asimilado o integrado en el nuevo Espacio de alguna manera, pero no es algo de lo que haya que preocuparse aún.

También aprovechamos para inaugurar subforo, dada la entidad que empieza a cobrar en el Foro todo lo relacionado con el vídeo y la emulación, y, especialmente, para dar el lugar que merece a las utilidades de Calamity, con el orden y la claridad apropiados. Así, despejamos el subforo principal de todos los hilos relacionados con dicha cuestión, que serán trasladados o sustituidos.

Os pido perdones, ya de paso, por los ataques narcolépsicos que le dan al servidor últimamante. Son especialmente molestos si te cogen antes de darle al botón de enviar tras escribir un (prolongado) mensaje. Por si no os respondiera vuestra 'caché' en estos casos, os recomiendo copiar al portapapeles el mensaje antes de enviar.

Perhaps many have already read that Postback is being entirely reformed. So much, that the next issue -- whenever it happens, which won't be soon -- will be, a little of, a new beginning. So it was fair to make of the shelving something more noticeable. The change of façade brings with it a good handful of arrangements, trying to, this time for sure, make all the Site's content to feature one definitive form. Many passages have been touched up and many pages have corrected their visual flaws, which still affected, particularly, users of browsers other than Internet Explorer. Firefox thus becomes the recommended browser for displaying the Site.

By the way, the Listings have also been updated and corrected, and I want to take this chance to again state the importance of this section, which, beyond its interest as a database, means a thorough (personal) selection of the entirety of works for the corresponding systems that have some qualitative value. It's not something you find often -- perhaps because there aren't many who dare...-- and I'll anticipate that it'll be -- also -- the new Space's engine. The Links page has been updated likewise.

Probably there still are technical failures or even phrases susceptible to be rewritten, but the episode closes here. Save for the façade, Postback will remain for the annals just as we see it today, and any update from now on will be a part of Postback 2.0's content. I don't rule out making it dissapear, actually, once its content has been somehow assimilated or integrated into the new Space, but it isn't something we have to worry about yet.

We also take the occasion to inaugurate a subforum, given the significance everything related to video and emulation is beginning to gain in the Forum, and, especially, to give Calamity's utilities their rightful place, with the appropriate order and clarity. Thus, we clear up the main subforum from all the threads related with said matter, which will be moved or replaced.

I ask your forgiveness, incidentally, for the narcolepsic attacks the server suffers recently. They are especially annoying if they catch you before hitting the send button after writing a (prolonged) message. If your cache doesn't respond in these cases, I recommend you copy the message to the clipboard before sending it.

Registrations have also re-opened (they were closed for years due to spambot issues), and I see SriK has just registered [ > ]. He'll probably make a thread about his game, and I can't wait to read Recap's comments on it.
