It was fun for a couple of days, and looks great (very underutilized era too, so was glad to see it in such detail), but it shares the same flaw with all city-builders: too little war, and therefore too little challenge. I don't expect 117 to be any different. Sure the graphics will be even better. And they're saying it has curved roads. Whoop-de-do, good job programmers, that was very quick half a decade after the last game. Curved roads, you blew my mind. But yeah. I think city-builders will finally be fixed by people like me with real-time VTTs. Programmers will never do it. But the moment someone like me gets the right tools in his hands, we'll get Age of Anno, Anno Annihilation, and so on.
