Beyond the fact that you can just endlessly respawn....the "hard" difficulty setting (which is the highest lvl of difficulty available) is super easy. I played throgh the entire game first play through on the highest difficulty and maybe died a total of 4-5 times....through the ENTIRE game..
Honestly the game is still fun, and for a 20$ price point the amount of content is worth it..more so on highest difficulty and with at least one other companion player....for one play through. Also, I was a bit disappointed with the...ahem..."loot" drops advertised like it was going to be diabloesque...then drops being cosmetic only, guns pre-determined, and the TWO weapon buffs available per weapon just are not enough to call this diabloesque or rpg whatsoever. Its an action shooter. The story is pretty good and I loved the animated cut scenes...but the cut scenes become more and more scarce as you progress through the game. With the lack of content and progression, they should have at least focused more on the story-boarding.
Despite these issues, I still enjoyed the game, but...very briefly and definately only once =(
I would recommend the game, maybe even wait for a sale, especially since there are other games worth playing out currently...if they would have released this on the original release date at the beginning of August this would not have hurt player numbers/purchase as much, but mid and end of August too many other AAA games came out (August was a huge month for game releases) and a few gems releasing early and mid September as well (Can't WAIT for Dragon Quest 7 3DS!!!).
