This is a dig at "PVE Bobs" who keep complaining about how much PVP there is in the game. And since this is mostly a PVE event, they love it. You can pirate the fuck out of them though if you take the time. Maybe we'll do this later once we have completed all our goals.

It's a cool event. You can support any of the four factions, or you can do all of them. There are 60+ rewards to unlock. The winning corp will be determined by players, and there will be both mechanical and lore repercussions over the outcome. Yeah, the plot isn't super-exciting, but last month's was, and from what I am hearing so will be next month's, so they're letting the plot take a breather in-between. And it's just hard to make industrial PVE super-exciting.

We'll have fun with this, especially since we rarely do industrial work, so it'll be a nice change of pace.

Race for Stanton Rewards

The rewards for this event are insane. Over 60 rewards including a couple dozen VOLT guns, armor and clothes sets including backpacks and multi-tools, and enough ship paints to start a paint shop.

If you max out one corp's rewards and it wins the event, you get a special black armor. To ensure you get it no matter who wins, you must max out all four corps. Another tactic would be to wait until near the end and see who's winning, and then max out that corp. Personally I'll get everything.

Race for Stanton Tactics

So here's the plan: we will be using a Starlancer TAC and a Starlancer MAX, and if we manage to fully crew them, we will add a Zeus CL and a RAFT. The TAC will be loaded with an STV, one or two ATLSes, and two Furys. The MAX will be loaded with a CSV-SM and one or two ATLSes. We will see eventually whether it might make sense to split up, but the TAC and MAX will be working in tandem initially. The TAC and MAX will allow us to tackle all mission types except for mining, and the ground vehicles will allow Master Chiefs to get close to hostile bunkers and disable AA defenses using their railguns if need be.

The vehicle lineup is as follows:

  • ysignal's Starlancer TAC with shubn as Captain
    • STV (Cobalt Grey)
    • ATLS (Ironside)
    • Fury (Cloudburst)
    • Fury
  • shubn's Starlancer MAX with recoil as Master Chief
    • CSV-SM (Granite)
    • ATLS (Ironside)
  • Adjudicator's RAFT (Anchor) with Adjudicator as Inquisitor
  • icycalm's Zeus CL (Solstice) with icycalm as Master Chief

Initially, icycalm will be in the TAC, and Adjudicator in the MAX, until we decide to deploy the Zeus CL and RAFT. ysignal will be in the TAC as Inquisitor.

Everyone should gear up as Contractor and bring a MaxLift.

Captain's Snub Ship

One aspect of our setup that I love and shubn left out is that one of the Furys in the TAC hangar will be the white paint on the left to match his white Captain's uniform and will be his personal craft. He can use it as an escape means, or to zoom around our operations and check things out. And if he needs a bodyguard, an Inquisitor can jump in the other Fury and accompany him.

Note that use of this craft doesn't necessarily have to have tactical purpose. It's a perk of the rank and he can use it to stretch his legs if he wants to.

I completed Resource Drive for all corporations with my main account and with icy's account.

I also reached tier 2 for all corporations with CULTCLONE-4 because I thought it would be good for the clones to at least get the armor sets, and tier 2 is easy to do. I might try to get additional tiers before the event ends.

Could have posted this earlier as it's not too spoilery, but still, there is a lot of complexity in it that's best to discover oneself. We're approaching the end of the event now though, so it's time to post this here. Maybe only one week or max two left.


P.S. Keep in mind that CIG might have updated numbers and even mechanics since the last time the guide was updated.

Yeah it's real. xTitch mentioned it so I tested it. I was going to post about it later. The Caterpillar is a pain to unload with this new bug/update so you probably only want to do the M2. The M2 should get you 470 SCU or so. The commodities are not the ones needed for the event so you can't stash them for someone else, but they do count for this particular contract.
When you first get in the ship, you need to wait for the "enemy reinforcements" message to appear in the mission objectives before leaving, else the cargo can't be turned in. Also, after landing in a hangar, test the freight elevator terminal to make sure it's working so you don't spend 15 minutes loading a broken freight elevator. If both are broken, ALT+F4 might fix it.
I'll try to get clone 4 to tier 5. Should be easy.
