I removed the black lines on the sides, but it should not matter too much, considering that the image on a CRT screen could be magnified.

I swear to god this stuff is harder to understand than quantum mechanics. When you guys talk about this stuff I feel like a moron.

Why on earth would it not matter if the black lines get magnified? Would it not matter if half the image was black too because of a shitty emulator?

I don't know what to do about Wanda. The way you talk about it, it seems that there is absolutely no way to create screens of max width 910 pixels that look good. Maybe that's why Recap hasn't updated his site in nearly a decade. At least we got the Ico screens sorted, so that review will go up soon. Thanks for this, and let me know if you come up with any solution for Wanda.

Actually, give me the larger, scanlined images for Wanda, and I will see if there is anything I can do with them.

Also, a little touch-up on this header for the Online thread?

There are two cannons at the bottom left that need to go, and also some tiny part of a cannon in-between them, I think, which is hard to make out on my laptop screen so I could be mistaken. And at the bottom right edge, under the guy's clothes, there is part of a fire thingy that is abruptly cut off and hence needs to go. Let me know if you can take care of this stuff.

Another header that needs some touch-up, ronan, if it is doable:

That grey wisp-like line at the bottom right... No idea what it's supposed to be.

I think I would like to put this on the frontpage, aside from the forum threads, if this can be taken care of.

I've updated the header images in the relevant threads and uploaded the DOW3 one to the frontpage. I will be posting the Ico review soon too, and updating the Wanda one with the screens. Not sure what the difference is between your second set of screens and the raw ones I gave you though. Maybe I just can't see it on my laptop's screen, but they look the same to me.

The images from the first set are twice as big as those from the second set, and feature a scanline effect.

Sorry, I misread. (I am sick...) The differences are mainly the aspect ratio of 4:3 and the contrast.

We need some sidebar banners for XBL and PSN, ronan, if you can make them. Same dimensions as before, 270x100, with transparent background so they can work in both light and dark frontpage styles.

You'll need to remove the TM and R from the PSN logo, and also fill in the font to make it white, but other than that I think both of them should work well with these images. Let me know what you can do.

Also, the Steam one is getting a little outdated, so maybe you can try a newer version?

Again without the R, of course.

Finally, I made a Uplay header for the Online thread, but it's buttugly.

If you can do anything better, let me know. At the very least, the logo should be moved a bit to the left so as to not be centered. All I can do with Office Picture Manager is resize and crop, so I don't know how to move things.

I also settled on the blue-colored font for the Uplay banner. Kinda having trouble finding where to put the Twitch, YouTube etc. banners now. It's getting busy out there, but I'll figure it out.

I ended up turning the Twitch, YT, FB and Twitter banners into text links. It just looked ridiculously busy with a dozen banners out there. And anyway, this is a gaming site, so the XBL, PSN links etc. should be more prominent. I think the current look is far more functional and better looking then the previous one, and if I think of any way to get the social banners back in again, I will do it. But for the moment this will have to do.

A couple more banners for online services, ronan, if you have the time to make them.

First up, GOG Galaxy. I want it in the format of the first image (without the vertical line and the version number, of course), but since I couldn't find a transparent PNG for you, I am giving you what I could find:

I think the version on Blizzard's site has no color gradient in the font, or very little, whereas the transparent PNGs I can find in the search have more, but I may be mistaken, so I leave it up to your judgement.

Not sure which of these is the closest one to the official version currently on the site, but that's the best I could come up with.


Edit: On second thought, the first one seems identical to the official one, I am just not sure if it's big enough to work for our needs.
