Official infographic from Jump Point magazine. It's very helpful because it shows gang affiliation. Should help recoil make some decisions. Unfortunately we don't know which of these will be settable as home from the start menu. Maybe shubn knows, since he has played the EPTU? Or recoil could try the EPTU to find out. It would be nice for everyone to know where they're supposed to spawn well before the launch so there is no confusion.

Interesting detail: some planets have more stations than others, and Pyro I has none. XenoThreat has only Ruin Station, but it's the biggest one, and I think home to the so-called "Ghost Arena", if I am not mistaken.

Some info for recoil I got from #sc-testing-chat and Spectrum General:

  • Only "the three big stations", Ruin, Orbituary and Checkmate, have Contested Zones.
  • Those are also the only three places you can set as home at the start, so I imagine the only places where you can get persistent hangars.
  • I also confirmed that the Pyro hangars, in the three possible home locations, are persistent as in Stanton (as long as you set your home there of course). I wasn't sure of that and felt like checking to make sure.

Quite a simpler setup than I had imagined.

I had imagined that CZs would exist in all 11 stations, which would have meant that we could find a small, little-trafficked one for less aggro, but with only 3 CZs for 250 people... it's gonna be rough no matter which one(s) recoil picks. Still, the Ruin Station one with the arena seems like it'll be the toughest. On the other hand, XenoThreat is there, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on too many factors I suppose.

We really don't know anything, but at least with the above info we know a bit more than nothing.

PSA for anyone starting out from scratch and set home station in Pyro. You can do local delivery missions that only require you to carry one small 1/8 SCU cube from one side of the station to the other for a quick 24k.

Have not tested in Stanton yet, but the three major Pyro stations (Ruin, Orbit, Checkmate) have these missions. Literally takes about a minute depending on where the turn-in location is, and are repeatable as soon as you finish the first one.

If anyone can add any information, please do so in the comments. This is a great way for new players to get familiar with the home stations in Pyro as well as earn a quick (very quick) buck!

I love missions like this. Sure, you won’t get rich off them, but it makes me feel as if I really live there. Immersive like hell, and a great way to get to know the stations and distribution centers.

Though actually, you could get a little bit rich off of this, apparently, at least until they nerf it:
