Alpha 4.6: Lifeline for Levski

No exciting new narrative content in this event, BUT the rewards are some of the best yet, and that new armor with "SUPPORT UNIT" on it plus matching ship and fabrication machine is perfect for a Cult Crafting or Cult Fabricator or whatever spec, so make sure you 100% the event if you want to be able to play that role. It shouldn't be too hard because we have a whole two months for it (well not quite whole, March 17 is the end), plus it goes faster when you do it co-op. I'll set up a session every Saturday starting this weekend until all who want to do it have done it, clones optional. It'd be nice if people reported in this thread when they were done with their rewards, at whatever level they decide to stop, so we know who has what.

Clearing the Air #1 Briefing

Unread postby icycalm » 29 Jan 2026 14:59

As this event isn't really fit for pirates, we'll be playing it with the Cult Contractor Spec. We'll say we were contracted out of Stanton to help out with the situation. Unfortunately we haven't gathered enough Corbel sets (and they'd have to be the same color, so we'd need 3 of one color...), which I was planning to use for a Cult Security Spec for the shooty missions (plus the Wikelo Corbel for the Master Chief, which shubn did acquire but which we can't use unless we also have the 3 regulars). So we'll just have to use regular Pembroke suits this time, but the security ship will still be the Starlancer TAC led by a Contractor Master Chief. I think we have at least a couple of those, and we can always buy one in-game if those players don't happen to be online.

I have heard it said that some people managed to finish the ENTIRE EVENT in ONE EVENING. Doubtless they were playing in a big group and sharing rewards etc. So that's what we'll try to do, but I am sure we won't be as efficient as those people, so don't expect to be done in one evening. I'll be happy with two or three evenings though.

Clearing the Air #1 with ysignal and The Cult

So Adjudicator and ysignal were the only ones who showed up to this. I was wrecked after a day of travel and couldn't make it, and I think shubn skipped it because of the late hour. recoil and Rory also skipped it. I think people generally put it off because we had plenty of time to get it done, about a month and a half. But now the end time is approaching and we need to get serious.

Some highlights from Discord:

It doesn't seem terribly difficult/time-intensive to complete the event from what I am managing to gather by reading the Discord updates.

Clearing the Air #2 Briefing

Unread postby icycalm » 01 Mar 2026 20:19

Not much to say about our second official Clearing the Air session, partly because I didn't play the first so I know nothing about the event, but also because it just doesn't seem like a very complex or difficult event, from what I am gathering from people's Discord updates. That said, if shubn or Adjudicator (who have been putting the most time in) have any tips for us they can go ahead and post them here at their leisure.

And here's another pic of all the rewards (minus the red MaxLift posted earlier): https://x.com/RobertsSpaceInd/status/20 ... 1905516972

Image

It's a nice big hoard, but note that shubn and Adjudicator have completed the event with multiple clones, so we'll have plenty of spares for those who don't have the time or simply can't be bothered with the event. For my part, I would never forgive myself if I didn't unlock all this for my main account, so I am going all-in until I get them.

Even though it's tagged as RC1 (Release Candidate 1), I am sure it's up to date because otherwise he would have... updated it. He's very strict about updating.

It also takes around 30 minutes to hand in all small contracts to complete the collections branch.

This was said for the "gathering" part of the event. If it's true, maybe shubn/Adjudicator could send us some aUEC to speed our progress up?

I can send some aUEC, but keep in mind that I have enough materials for three or four, maybe even five completions of the "collections" part, and we only really need one since we'll be sharing the contracts on Saturday.

A few notes I made:

As a general rule, small contracts seem to be the most efficient. The best way to do it when playing with multiple people is for each person to do a separate contract, and only share it right before delivering the cargo, so that you are not blocking each other from taking the same contract.

Jump Points are sometimes broken, sending you back to the system you came from. Trying over and over may or may not work eventually. You may have to take the Stanton-Nyx JP if going through Pyro doesn't work.

On hot routes, you can take a small detour to avoid getting interdicted. In my experience, that's the route between the Nyx-Stanton JP and Levski, and the one between the Stanton-Pyro JP and microTech. For the first one, I first QT to the Nyx-Pyro JP for a couple of minutes, then to Levski. For the second, I do the same with MIC-L5.

Contracts sometimes don't complete after delivering the cargo. This is not an issue for the "transport" part, since you can press the "submit" button on the contract to force its completion. For "collections" and "defense", you'll just have to eat the loss, cancel the contract, and take a new one.

Transport

I've been doing the following three small contracts from Stanton to Nyx and two from Nyx to Stanton:

  • Alliance Aid: Treatment Cargo Haul - Small Scale [83k] [New Babbage to Levski] [8 x 1 SCU]
  • Alliance Aid: Interstellar Small Cargo Haul (Filters) [83k] [Lorville to Levski] [8 x 1 SCU]
  • Alliance Aid: Interstellar Small Cargo Haul (Medical) [74k] [Everus/Seraphim/Baijini/Tressler to Levski] [6 x 1 SCU]
  • Alliance Aid: Interstellar Small Cargo Haul (Research) [83k] [Levski to New Babbage] [8 x 1 SCU]
  • Alliance Aid: Interstellar Small Cargo Haul (Cryopods) [80k] [Levski to New Babbage] [12 x 1 SCU]

This gets you 2000 points, which is 20% completion. To do this, you need a ship that can carry 24 SCU (they say Cryopods are 1 SCU, but 3 stacked Cryopods take 4 SCU of space). You can use the external freight elevators for loading and unloading in Levski and at the LEO stations, so you don't have to land in a hangar. Levski has external freight elevators in the borehole, and also external pads with freight elevators topside.

Collections

Again, only do small contracts here, anything else is a waste of time. I started with mining, but at some point I managed to buy a bunch of Pressurized Ice at Ruin Station with CULTCLONE-4. I should still have a bunch of what I mined on my main account ready to be delivered in Lorville. CULTCLONE-4 still has about 900 SCU of Pressurized Ice in Ruin, and CULTCLONE-11 should have about 400 SCU of it ready to be delivered in New Babbage.

Defense

This is the slowest part to complete because contracts don't give very many points.

The following contract seems to be the most efficient: Alliance Aid: Attempted Cargo Theft [54k]. It's available in Stanton, has two hostiles to fight (Mustang/Cutter/125a/C8X)—which you don't even have to fight if the ship you're using has enough shields—has you recover 1 or 2 crates of 1, 2 or 4 SCU and deliver them to the nearby LEO station, and gives 300 points. Again, you can use external freight elevators at LEO stations so you don't have to land in a hangar.
