Pirate Paint Collection $117.19
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/en/p ... CollectionThe new pirate paint megapack includes the 4 new paints, which are the excellent Skullcrusher style for the Ursa, Avenger, Corsair and Asgard. These are very useful vehicles for pirate ops. Very happy to see them. I am especially stoked to see a ground vehicle with a skull paint that screams pirate as the only ones we've had available up till now were generic silver or black ones. So all I did was melt last year's megapack and add about $10 worth of credit, and I have everything again. It's a huge discount if you buy the pack, like 35%. You are getting 1/3rd of the paints for free, and every year you melt the old and buy the new, and the savings grow.
For those looking to spend less, there is also an 8-pack that contains just the Skullcrusher paints for less than half of the complete pack's price. That's a great deal for those looking to get into piracy without going all out with the cash. Plus it includes the 4 cool pirate containers that I will talk about in a moment in a new Exclusive Furniture thread.
Skullcrusher - 8 Paint Pack $59.29

It's a terrific-looking fleet that covers most basic needs. recoil bought this pack even though he already had last year's megapack, which gives him the 4 new paints plus second copies of the original 4 Skullcrusher paints (M50, Mantis, Vulture, Scorpius). This allows him to paint both Scorpiuses simultaneously while being able to give out the rest to other Pyro players. That said, now that he has the free pirate containers from the
treasure hunt, he could melt this pack and also last year's megapack and then buy the new megapack thus saving about $40. And if he wants a second set of pirate containers he can just buy the $30 container pack (that I will link in the new Exclusive Furniture thread in a moment). Two sets of containers certainly would look better than just one, and you'd expect our Pyro HQ at Ruin station to have them. I was planning to give him mine from the treasure hunt, but I kinda want to set up a small pirate hangar for myself somewhere, so I'll keep them. In any case, one set is fine and I am sure we'll have opportunities to buy more in the years to come. Maybe we'll even be able to craft them at 1.0.
So Pirate Week ends today, so make your purchases asap if you have any left. After that you can still buy everything from the
grey market for a markup until next year.
However, you can still get into piracy with us without spending anything. The Buccaneer is our pirate fighter and requires no paint, and the Cutter works well with the Noble paint you can buy on the store year-round. That's really all you need for dogfighting and getting around, and the rest can be supplied by your Pirate Commander/SupCom plus people like me who hoard paints.
A final note about the 400i Meridian that I think I've mentioned before, and which isn't included in any pack or megapack. I used to think, along with other low-information players, that this was an oversight on CIG's part. Turns out this paint was only sold during the Original Concept phase, so they can't put it in a pack even if they want to because the original backers who bought the jpeg at the time would be pissed. You can still get it from the grey market for a pretty reasonable $40, and shubn, recoil and I have it.

I currently have it assigned to the Pirate Captain as his luxury ship so it's not needed for pirate ops. It's a luxury, so if you feel like having it, grab the paint before it gets even more expensive.
